PURPOSE: To update the participants on the management of infectious diseases and thromboembolic events

OBJECTIVES: At the conclusion of this program, the participant should be able to:

•   Review treatment guidelines for Community Acquired Pneumonia in hospitalized and non-hospitalized patients
•    Review treatment guidelines for healthcare associated pneumonia
•    Review new antimicrobial and antifungal agent
•    Review guidelines for the prophylaxis and treatment of DVT/PE
•    Apply updates in the management of thromboembolic events and infectious disease to patient cases
